Jennifer joined Kelly, Remmel & Zimmerman in 2002. She received her undergraduate degree in 1997 from the University of Tulsa and then attended law school at the University of Maine School of Law, where she graduated in 2000 cum laude. While at the University of Maine School of Law, Jennifer participated in the Moot Court program, earning the distinctions of Best Oralist and representing the law school as a prize arguer before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. During her third year of law school, Jennifer worked as a Student District Attorney for the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office, litigating cases in both Maine District Court and Superior Court. After graduating
from law school, Jennifer clerked for the Maine Superior Court with the
Hon. Justices Nancy Mills, Robert E. Crowley, Thomas E. Humphrey and Stephen
L. Perkins. The following year, she served as law clerk to the Hon. Justice
Donald G. Alexander of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Jennifer is currently
admitted to practice in the state courts of both Maine and Massachusetts,
as well as the United States District Court for the Districts of Maine
and Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First
Circuit. Jennifer is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association
and the Maine Trial Lawyers Association. In 2007, she was appointed by
the Governor to the Maine Board of Bar Examiners. In addition to general
civil and commercial litigation, Jennifer focuses her practice on immigration
law. She lives in Falmouth with her husband and son.
