Appellate Advocacy

KRZ’s appellate advocacy group is passionate about the law and its development in the State of Maine. Our appellate attorneys are analytical thinkers, strong writers, and persuasive oral advocates. We assist clients and other attorneys with all aspects of the appellate process, including assessing the merits of an appeal, applying the appropriate standards of review to a case, and meeting timely deadlines in the trial and appellate courts. The practice group includes attorneys who have clerked within the Maine District, Superior, and Supreme Courts, as well as the chair of the Maine Trial Lawyer Association’s Amicus Committee. We understand the Rules of Civil and Appellate Procedure, enjoy discerning case law, and are committed to holding ourselves to the high standards required by Maine Courts while zealously advocating for our clients.
